841 Aluminum Powder Epoxy Asphalt Prime Coat

I. Features: 841 Aluminum Powder Epoxy Asphalt Prime Coat is cured from polyamide, the film is wearable resistant with high adhesive and such performance as sea water resistant, crude oil and fuel resistant, but it is not arene solvent resistant (including gasoline or powerful solvent), the color will fade if it contact with chain hydrocarbon solvent.

II. Purpose: This product can be used as the prime coat for bilge with long effect as the protective coating for steel structure under serious corrosion environment.

IV. Construction Description: 1. Mixing Proportion: Component A: Component B = 1.2 : 1 (Weight Proportion)
2. Construction Method: spraying, brushing, rolling
3. Thinner: x-7
4. Max Thinner Consumption: 5%
5. Mixing Use Time: 4 hours
6. Tools Cleaning: x-7
7. Paint Film Thickness: Wet Film 175 micron, Dry Film 120 micron
8. Time for Re-Coating: please see Remarks
9. Surface Treatment: new steel surface - suggested sand blast: Sa2.5 Class, if it requires to temporarily protect the steel surface, prime coat is applicable, before brushing this product, please thoroughly remove the dirt after sand blasting.
10. Maintenance: Remove oil and grease with suitable detergent, flush oil and other dirt with pressure water, clean the damaged area with sand blasting or power tools, thoroughly clean the whole surface from edge and corner and coat to regulated thickness.

V. Construction Conditions: This product can only be constructed when environment temperature exceeds 5C¡ã (construction and curing can be normally fulfilled), when constructing, the temperature of paint shall exceed 15C¡ã, and the temperature of construction surface and paint shall range 15C¡ã-25C¡ã, in order to prevent water condensation, please construct when the temperature is higher than dew point under dry weather. Powerful ventilation is required if it is constructed in narrow space and when drying the film.

VIII. Paint Film Thickness: The thickness is confirmed according to the using purpose and area, but it will also change the coating area, drying time and re-coating time, the normal range of dry film shall range 125-200 micron.

The max time for re-coating the product can be doubled, but it shall not have water or other dirt on the surface before coating, no leakage is allowed for the surface of the first layer of coating, assure adequate curing conditions, keep favorable ventilation and temperature and film thickness, dilute according to the above proportion to prevent leakage, prevent over temperature, if it exceeds the max time for re-coating, please grind the surface of prime coat before coating, thus assuring favorable adhesion between coating films, otherwise the color may possibly penetrate into other coating, which may influence the appearance instead of performance of paint.

XI . Safety: The product is only applicable for professional purpose. Please strictly follow relative safety laws and regulations when transporting and storing the product. Prevent inhaling solvent or paint fog when constructing, skin and eyes shall not contact this product. Provide powerful ventilation if it is constructed in narrow space or poor ventilated space. It requires to wear protection mask and take effective measures for preventing fire and explosion even though it has favorable ventilation.
